Edwina from Little Snoring has just messaged me to let me know that one of my brooches is featured on today's Inside Out blog. Inside Out is one of my favourite mags, so I'm excited to be on their blog. Thanks for letting me know Edwina.
I adore all of your brooches, the simple designs are really striking... made more so by the packaging - I think I'd never wear the brooch because it looked so good on display ;)! There is a designer here in York UK that makes brooch/badges with machine stitching and I haven't taken hers off the backing!! TOOO cute.
BTW, out of interest, what badge maker do you use? (based on the assumption that's how they're made) I've an interest in using some recycled school uniform fabric scraps to make badges for the school xmas fayre, but I don't know what to use to make them... the kiddies versions look rather insubstantial.
Hi, thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind words. I don't use a badge maker. All of my brooches are hand made...hand cut, hand stitched and the back put on with a hammer (which often results in a sore thumb!)
Hi Edwina, Thanks for adding a mention of Inside Out on your blog. Your brooches look very sweet (I especially love the label design). I wish I could teleport to Tasmania to see them in person! All the best, Lee Tran
