My Creative Space...Pins & Needles

This week my creative space involved using a few pins. Now, I'm not usually a pinner, even when quilting I only use pins for the top quilting. I prefer free hand sewing. Apparently this is a big no-no in the world of 'real' 'grown-up' sewing.

But the rebel in me couldn't help herself and when my dress making teacher was not looking I went commando pin free. Whoohoo...talk about livin' on the edge!

I'm not quite ready for the big reveal just yet.

What's been happening in your creative space lately? Check out Kirsty's blog for more crafty creativeness.

You are a brave soul. Unfortunately I am an obsessive pinner. No confidence in my ability to go commando. After your post, I'm going to give it a shot this week and live dangerously. Lisa x

Good on you for doing what works for you. I find pins get in the way most of the time but they are sometimes are necessary evil.

lovely print on your fabric...pins are sometimes so handy and sometimes so annoying! working out when to use and when not to is a bit of an art I reckon.

I still need pins! I have tried going commando and fail, miserably.

Love the sneak peek of what you are making.

I'm a living on the edge type too. Which in my case, may be the reason for embracing that wonk!
