I'll be heading up to Launceston tomorrow morning with a car loaded to the brim with stock and props for the Apron Market. Below are some images of the new Wanderlust fabric covered brooches and hair accessories that I will have for sale. I can't wait to set up for this market. I'm so excited about having my own marquee to decorate as as I wish. I've been collecting props for some months now in anticipation of the Wanderlust range. Never fear, Vera will not be neglected. She will have her own corner of the marquee to show here 1950's flair. Hope to see you there!

Finders Keepers Day 1
Day 1 of Finders Keepers was great. I'm exhausted now, but after a good nights sleep (hopefully) I'll be ready to do it all again tomorrow.
After I set up yesterday afternoon I had a bit of a panic about the lack of props on my stall (there's only so much a girl can squeeze into a suitcase!) so I popped into the city to grab a few things. The mossy camera (above) added some height and interest and was a hit with customers today. The aerogram envelopes (under the red earrings, above) were a fabulous find and perfect for packaging the Wanderlust brooches in. I also bought a retro folding ruler (below) and some picture frames to add height.
After I finished playing with the stall display I had a chance to geek out at catch up with the Ink & Spindle girls and finally had a chance to throw myself at meet Kristen Doran. I've also been lucky enough to have the fabulous designing duo from Print Space as my stall neighbours so there has been lots of figurative drooling.
I don't have a market companion this time so I haven't had a chance to have a good look around yet, but what I have seen is amazing, as always. Hopefully I get the chance to take some photos of some of my favourite finds tomorrow.
(another last minute find for the stall...aerogram bag from Typo)
And We Have a Winner...
Ladies and gentleman, I'd like to introduce you all to the latest member of the Notions family...Wanderlust!
Congratulations Sarah! Thanks to everyone who entered. There were so many great suggestions, but after some consideration I think Wanderlust is perfect for these designs-
Wanderlust: a strong or irresistible impulse to travel,
from the German 'Wandern' (to hike) and 'Lust' (desire)
Sarah- can you email me your postal details and let me know which brooch you would like?

Sweet as a button
I can't believe that these little cuties are actually peppermint flavoured sweets. How cool is that? They are available here, but be warned they are more expensive than the average corner store lollies.

On the Road
This is the first sample of the new 'as yet unnamed' Tasmanian timber collection. This one has been cut in Huon pine. I will have 20 of these babies for sale in Melbourne this weekend and hopefully I will have rest of the collection by the following weekend in Launceston.

Warm & Cozy
With Autumn settling in the mornings here in Hobart are noticeably cooler. There is still a hint of Summer in the air, but I did have to turn on the heater for the first time in several months a few nights ago. The cooler weather has turned my thoughts to crochet. I haven't picked up a hook in months. Maybe today is the day. I'm heading down to my mum and dads this afternoon. I might pick some blackberries (one of my favourite things about Autumn) and then do some hooking o the couch (whilst eating said blackberries). What are your plans for the day?

...and the rest & giveaway
Here are the rest of the new myrtle brooch designs. I will be listing these in my Etsy store over the weekend. I don't have a name for this collection yet so I thought I'd give you guys to name it. As reward for you thinking efforts the winning entry will receive a myrtle brooch of their choice (RRP $40). Giveaway if open until 9pm (EST) Friday March 25.
....and here they are
Here are the first three new designs hot of the laser cutting machine. These have been cut from Tasmanian myrtle and they smell divine. I will be picking the rest of them up this afternoon. There is also another version of these designs in Huon pine in the works. Hopefully I will be able to share them with you next week.

Fingers Crossed
I'm hoping to pick up the samples of my new laser cut collection today. There is a bit of experimentation going on with these pieces. I have my fingers crossed that the images I have in my head and on paper can be transfered into reality.
While I'm waiting I though I'd share with you another of my second hand finds from last week. This case is the perfect shade of vintage blue and the details are divine (these images are also a hint for the new range). The last photo gives you an idea of the size of this find.
