Markit-ed

Well, Markit was fabulous! It was the perfect launch for i wish i had a little shop. I sold out of a few lines and sold all but two of my bead necklaces. I had not expected such a response, but I'm not complaining! Thank you to everyone who bought something or just  popped by to say hello.

Having sold so much I was hoping that my luggage would be lighter on the way home, but alas it was even heavier than before. I've had my eye on Charlotte Swiden's Tivolivat sculptures (above) for some time now. As happenstance would have it her stall was directly opposite mine at Markit. How was I to resist? I bought to same one that is featured in the banner above. I love it.

Markit

This Sunday you'll find me at one of my all time favourite design markets- Markit @ Fed Square. I love this market...so many amazing stalls, a great atmosphere and it's undercover so there is no chance of being washed away this time! If you are in Melbourne on Sunday, shy not come down to Fed Square and check it out and maybe do some Christmas shopping?

Apron Market

My first official outing as i wish i had a little shop was literally a wash-out. It poured with rain all Friday afternoon and evening and showered Saturday morning; making for a very wet and squishy market experience. By 9pm I was standing in a puddle. Luckily my little shoes were waterproof! 

Surprisingly some people did brave the weather to come and visit us. Thank you to everyone who came down to visit and to shop. The sun finally popped out from behind the clouds on Saturday afternoon and things picked up. I had lots of fabulous positive feed back from customers about the products, colours and the name of my new enterprise. So over all it was a good (if slightly soggy) experience and I'm looking forward to taking this show on the road and hitting Melbourne this weekend. 

One good thing about the wet weather was the amazing sunset we had on Saturday night (view from hotel room).

This amazing space is only 37m2. Really. Would I lie to you? And yes, it's Scandinavian. Swedish, in fact. A hoarder like me would have trouble keeping this space uncluttered, but I'd be willing to give it a go.

I think I'm in love. This Brooklyn house is amazing. My dream trip to Scandinavia includes a rest stop in New York. I can see my self putting my feet up here for a while and just breathing it all in. I wonder if the owners would mind?
